Weather Closings

Early College Academy is a public charter school sponsored by the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio.  Our mission is to educate all students according to their academic needs and personal interests, and prepare them for personal success in life, their chosen career, for life-long learning, and for contributing positively to their communities.

The school serves students from 16-22 in Franklin and its contiguous counties who are either one cohort age behind or have experienced crises that have interfered with their academic progress.  Most of our students will be first generation college students.  It is our mission to help those students transition from high school to college successfully.

While at ECA, students are given the opportunity to earn college credits through partnership with Columbus State Community College. All of our teachers are certified by the Ohio Department of Education.
