Tamia is from Columbus, OH and plans to become a pediatrician. Her goals outside of school are “to simply stay on the path I am on. School is absolutely very important and needed to accomplish what I want in the future, but more important to me than school is my church! Church truly is my life. My primary goal, above anything else in life, is to make it into Heaven and to live a life that’s pleasing and acceptable to the Lord.”
Tamia’s advice to other students is “Don’t give up; keep working towards your goal because with time and effort and maybe some help, you will be able to accomplish it. In the past, school has in a way been a struggle. Time and effort really make a difference. Also, believe in yourself that you can do it. When you change your opinion about yourself, it changes the way you look at other things and gives you a determination to do what you have to do and get all you need to get done. Just remember: time, effort, and faith in yourself is a mixture guaranteed to bring mind-blowing results.”
